If there is one certainty in life, it is that our health is the most important asset we have. Without it, it is amazing how quickly our world can crumble. When we're healthy, not only can we be masters of our fate, but that feeling of well-being will translate into all areas of our lives. In this day and age of unending stress and mass amounts of misinformation, living a healthy lifestyle can seem a daunting task. How does one become healthy or increase current levels of fitness? Is nutrition really that important? What does my body do with carbs, proteins and fats? What is a calorie and how many should I eat? My husband lost 30 pounds and I haven't budged a pound. How can I lose weight?!
The Why:

This is exactly why I started Rock the Box Personal Training Company. There is too much snake oil being sold out there! No wonder I see so many people repeatedly trying the same things and never seeing different results. To become healthy, you have to include the entire body. I believe in a holistic training approach of the mind, body and soul. Exercise alone will not produce results if your diet isn't good. Good nutrition can go a long way, but will not be nearly as successful as it would be in conjunction with a consistent exercise program. And without a positive outlook and belief in oneself and the task at hand, little can be changed, as the body does what the mind permits. My company name "Rock the Box" comes from my approach and style of training, in which I use different and unique training techniques that are not only effective and challenging, but fun. If you think outside the box and train outside the box, you will live outside the box. Hence, "Rock the Box."

A Rock the Box Training Program will consist of foundational training to improve overall strength and fitness, functional training to improve the performance of every-day activities as well as specific goal skill-sets, comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of training (muscles, techniques, etc.), continuous monitoring of measurements and fitness levels, metabolic-based nutritional program, all built into a realistically periodized program designed to meet goals in a timely and efficient manner.

I utilize minimal equipment in conjunction with periodized Spartan-style training. Each and every client will have a personally tailored exercise and nutritional program. My goal for each and every client is not only that they meet their objectives, but that they also learn a good understanding of their body and how to stay healthy.
